What Really Matters

It has been a long time since my last update. Since that time, many thing have been happening in life, both mine and yours. It would be impossible to take the time to recount these things between the economy, politics or just day-to-day life; but some things have occured that I feel it is a must to address.
In recent years, some influential men and women have abandoning Biblical truths for one reason or another. Because of this, I have heard many Elders state that the Church is in trouble because there are no young men to pass the torch to. I do not wish to contradict these wonderful Men of God, but there are young men that still love the truth and will stand for it until the end.

Over the course of the next several updates I am going to post Biblical absolutes that must be held onto no matter what. Doctrines of Salvation, Soul Winning, Godhead, Seperation, Devotion, etc. I am just one young man doing his part to reach a lost and dying world and reminding others what really matters.

Moving Up

I am moving right along with our digital age and am trying to set up a good blog app for the iPhone so that the Beacon can be updated regularly.

So hope to be posting more soon.

Welcome to Pharos' Beacon

Welcome to the new blog of Pharos Ministries, Pharos' Beacon. Your host will be Rev. Travis Trey Precht; here is a little more about him.

Background: My name is, Travis Precht, but you can call me Trey. That is the nickname that was given to me by a dear friend when we first got saved in 1997. I am Apostolic Pentecostal. A member of the Lighthouse Ministries an United Pentecostal Church, International church. I believe in One God (Deut. 6:4) and his name is Jesus. March 26, 1997, I was saved the ONLY Bible way as described in Acts 2:38. I repented of my sins; was baptized in the only name that can save ~Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12)~ and was filled with the Gift of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues, just like in the Bible. I was born on April 6, 1982.

Ministry: I am currently serving as Youth Pastor at my home church. I also serve as a media minister (sound board, overhead projector, website or anything else electronics related). Also I have been fortunate enough to have served with the outreach department over the years with a small team that is dedicated to reaching the lost not only on Saturday afternoons, but every day of their lives. I am also an Associate Minister of the pulpit ministry under Pastor Wayne Isaac Smith. On August 28, 2006, I went before the Kentucky District Board and they forwarded my ministerial application to headquarters and officially as of October 15, 2006, I have been granted local license with the KY District UPCI (General License as of 2009). And thus, I believe that one should live a Holy and separated life, with Holiness on the inside that will manifest itself outwardly. It is with a great honor, and humbleness that I hold these positions, I do not deserve any glory, let it all be unto the Lord. I am currently seeking to be as clay broken by the potter’s hand, that I might become more usable.

Family: On Dec 6, 2004, I was blessed with the most wonderful wife in the world. Her name is Roxanna. Again she has been a wonderful blessing to me and my ministry. I thank God for her daily. I wouldn’t be were I am today if it wasn’t for her love and support and not to mention her much needed prayer.

Education: In 2000 I graduated from Newport High School with a High School Diploma. In May of 2004 I graduated from Gateway Community & Technical College with an Associates In Applied Science for Computer Service and Repair. I am DCSE (Dell) certified and am still studying to get my A+ and Apple certifications.
